Connecting to Oracle via Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle
RapTier was tested with two Oracle OLE DB providers Microsoft OLE DB Provider
for Oracle and Oracle Provider for OLE DB
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle

On the File menu, choose the New menu item.

Select Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle from the list.

Select the Connection tab or click the Next button and specify
how to connect to the data source:
Server Name
Type the server where the database you want to access is located.
User Name
Type the database user name.
Password
Type the database password.

Click the Test Connection button to attempt a connection to the
specified data source. If the connection fails, ensure that the settings are
correct.

Click the OK button.
Oracle Provider for OLE DB

On the File menu, choose the New menu item.

Select Oracle Provider for OLE DB from Oracle from the list.

Select the Connection tab or click the Next button and specify
how to connect to the data source:
Data Source
Type the database you want to access is located.
User Name
Type the database user name.
Password
Type the database password.

Click the Test Connection button to attempt a connection to the
specified data source. If the connection fails, ensure that the settings are
correct.

Click the OK button.
