Introduction

The objective of this tutorial is to describe in detail the steps you need to take in order to create a WinForm application using RapTier. If you are evaluating RapTier, this guide will help you to get a quick understanding of what RapTier does and how you can use it.

First, we'll create a WinForm application, then we'll replace a few text boxes with lookup combo-boxes and DateTimePicker controls, and finally we'll add a DataGrid control.

Requirements

In order to complete this tutorial you need to have a sample database. In this tutorial we will be using the MS Access Northwind database. If you do not have a copy of the Northwind database you can download it from http://www.SharpPower.com/Products/RapTier/Download/Northwind.zip.
